End of our summer holiday break and back home, my good lady friend had a recommendation off one of her friends to try out Vineyard72 Premier Wine & Charcuterie Bar in Tynemouth, which if you pardon the pun, is spitting distance from my place.
So, a table for two booked for 1445, we also had the dogs in tow as it’s dog friendly and we were given a pretty much full-on choice of tables. Thankfully it appeared like we’d missed the lunchtime rush, although more hungry punters did show up as we were halfway through our order.
We were served by Jackie who was absolutely lovely and helpful in giving us a bit of pointers on what cheeses and meats were excellent to select rather than just the good ones at Vineyard72 Premier Wine & Charcuterie Bar, plus what a hero, she turned the music down for me, it wasn’t ridiculously loud but I had sat myself near a speaker and knew it would end up irritating me at some point later on.
The girlfriend and I ended up going for the Ultimate Sharing Board at £59.95 and trust me, this thing is huge!
Pricy? Hell yes!
Delicious? Undoubtedly!
Indulgent? Oh, you bet!
We didn’t spend much more to be fair as my partner drank red wine by the glass and I was on the Guinness 0% but I would love to come back here with a group of friends and make an evening of it, great food and great service, it’s highly likely we’ll definitely be back!

Nice little venue - Nice little bar set in an old church... although the name suggests it's a wine bar but it's not....pleasant staff...we had a sharing board and a bottle of wine Which was very nice... certainly a place to visit again

The best meat and cheese platter - A great little find, tucked in the back of the Land of Green Ginger. You have a menu of cheeses and cold meats to select - the number of selections depend on the size of platter chose. We chose the biggest which give us 14 choices, which we also chose a baked Camembert (counts as two cheeses). Came beautifully presented with nuts and fruit. Looks great and was a fantastic selection of local cheeses and meats. One of our favourites.
